2/5 Update: There are now rpm's at k12ltsp ftp site that makes the below information pretty much obsolete. The below information is left here for people that may have been directed to this FlashPlayer 9 fixup. Try the newer rpm's at k12ltsp.org

There are a few steps to make FP9 with sound available to ltsp/k12ltsp clients.

1. As root , in a terminal do 'yum -y install esound-devel pulseaudio-devel '

This gives you the required sound-devel libraries. 2. Next you will need the libflashplayer.c file . This is now in rpm format. go here to obtain this file:

http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash

Choose the rpm version /download ,save, install 3. Now go to this site to read instrauctions on how to get esd-pulse sound to work on clients, with the libflashsupport file .provided by Jean-Micehal Dault.

You will have flash player 9 with sound on terminals now

Go to msn DOT com, and try running their videos there. They do require fp9 to work
