Error! dhcpcd failed!

This is an error encounted during client booting. It is caused by "The switch is checking for spanning tree redundant links or circular paths." as stated by Joe Guenther. Depending on the model of switch used you will need to change every port to bypass this.

Dell - fast link Cisco - Port Fast

2nd NIC

This can also be caused when having two NICs in a client - one onboard and a second one from which you boot. If the onboard NIC is not disabled the client will initialize from the second NIC and then try and use the onboard NIC during the startup process. To fix this problem, go into the BIOS and disable the onboard NIC.
