First coming to prominence in Linux Weekly News and Slashdot, you may find that Windows 2000/XP will not boot after an installation of Fedora Core 2. This problem is apparently also present in Mandrake, SuSE and possibly other distributions--the fix may be relevant in those cases as well and, according to the author, will result in a bootable Windows 2000/XP partition without data loss (no guarantee is expressed or implied, use at your own risk, etc.)

Having experienced the effects of this issue myself, I certainly hope this fix will prove useful to others before they attempt much more drastic and costly measures to resolve the problem.
