Version 6.0 IS HERE!!! Based on Fedora Core 6 with many updates. NOTE: The K12LTSP 6.0 CD-set contains software for creating a terminal server but can also be used to create traditional stand-alone workstations with all the same features of the K12LTSP desktops. This 6 CD set has everything you'll need to make a school file server, terminal server or single workstation.
You can now order CD-Roms for less than $10. We have several sites listed in several countries.
Fedora Core 5 packages have been updated with the latest versions of software. Fedora can use yum to keep packages current. See the Fedora Core 4 Installation Guide and the rest of the Fedora documention for more details. In practice, all you need to do to update K12LTSP 5 is type "yum update" as root in a terminal window. It's really that simple. ;-) Learn more about yum.

You can use rsync to update your ISO images. The advantage is that you only have to download the newer files.

1. Rename your old ISOs to match the newer ones.
2. rsync -avP k12linux.mesd.k12.or.us::K12LTSP-mirror/* .
(and yes there is a [space] and period at the end of that line. It means "current directory".)
